Novalux supports the Antoniano Onlus.
Antoniano Onlus is a Bolognese entity that, since 1953, has been offering solidarity, help, support, serving the weakest and the world of childhood.
Novalux Solidarity Days at the Antoniano
The solidarity project, which involved the lighting design company Novalux, started with a donation from the company, combined with special corporate volunteer days at the Antoniano canteen in Via Guinizelli in Bologna.
Alessandro Sgrignoli, together with his Team, donned gloves and aprons to prepare and serve a meal to the guests of the canteen, discovering, little by little, the many souls of Antoniano during four very special solidarity days.
A beautiful experience of solidarity, but also an opportunity for growth, discussion and training for the entire Novalux team which, in an unprecedented capacity, organized and planned a new and important activity.
An occasion with a special purpose that further strengthened and united the company beyond the company premises around the common values of solidarity and cooperation.

Antoniano Onlus and Novalux Operazione Pane (Operation Bread).
These corporate volunteer days are a concrete support of Novalux to the Operazione Pane (Operation Bread) project: an Antoniano's solidarity project that supports Franciscan soup kitchens in Italy and around the world, which work tirelessly every day to welcome and help those in need, offering a hot meal, a word of comfort, help with daily expenses or what they need to spend the night.
A solidarity and social inclusion project that responds to concrete problems.
Operazione Pane (Operation Bread): the figures
Unfortunately, there are so many people in need, and the rising costs are having a strong, dramatic impact on them. In 2022, already 1,400 families, up 18 percent over 2021 and 79 percent over 2019, have turned to the Franciscan soup kitchens of the Operazione Pane network throughout Italy for help. Nearly 800 mothers and 700 fathers who struggle every day to feed their children.
Already the pandemic had made the economic condition of many people more fragile. In addition to that is the tragedy of the war in Ukraine and the difficult international situation, with rising prices and the cost of living, exacerbating the conditions of those already living in hardship.
These are dramatic figures that confirm the increasing number of people living in poverty in Italy.

Antoniano is solidarity, reception, help: it is home for so many people in need. It all starts with a meal to help those in need get back on their feet, cheer themselves up, recover and hope for a better future. Antoniano is also music, art, culture. Every day, thanks to those who donate, Antoniano Onlus can offer food, listening and shelter to those who have lost everything.
Novalux is very proud of having contributed and actively participated in this experience of solidarity, convinced that every child, woman, man, deserves dignity, smile, serenity and a better future, "because a beautiful and dignified life is a right of everyone."
