Lighting and Remote Working: the perfect light
The correct lighting of the workstation is essential for carrying out your activity, especially if you work from home.

The balance between artificial and natural light is a key aspect for managing lighting when working from home. The best solution would be to place the desk next to a window that brightens the workstation from the side.

- Colour temperature: the most suitable light for workstations should be between 3000K and 4000K to promote concentration without straining or tiring eyesight.
- Brightness: ensure an average illuminance value on the visual task area of 500lx, as required by the UNI EN 12464-1 European standard on internal lighting in workplaces.
- Unified Glare Rating (UGR): the lights must not glare or create reflections on the PC screen. Bright glare can cause stress, fatigue and headaches.
- LED light: is ideal because it is energy efficient and longer lasting than any other lighting technology, it has a better yield and reduces the risk of flicker.
- Light beam: general lighting is combined with accent lighting (angle of light less than 90°).
